Paintless Dent Repair

Paintless Dent Repair

With Paintless Dent Repair (PDR), a skilled metal craftsman uses specialized tools and LED lighting to gently massage vehicle panels from the underside, restoring them back to pre-accident condition and strength. PDR does not utilize heat, dry ice, drilling or fillers during the repair process.
PDR will not damage your finish. The techniques we use are kept to the non-painted underside of the panels. Because today’s lighter, thinner metals have more flexibility, the paints used in modern vehicles are designed to match the new flex. Think of today’s paint as a marriage between rubber and color. Due to this flexibility, a skilled PDR technician will not compromise the integrity of the paint during the repair.
In most cases hail damage can be repaired solely by PDR. Because no paint work is needed with PDR, repairs are more cost effective, take less time, and are less invasive than a conventional body repair.
If you choose to not repair the damage, the value of your vehicle will be greatly reduced and cost you at trade-in. Also, if an accident occurs in the future, this prior damage may be treated as “related” by your insurance company, preventing you from receiving full payment for the new damage.
  • Warranty: Tent repairers may offer a warranty but the convenience ends when they leave town. Our locations are permanent. We’re here year round to uphold our nationwide lifetime warranty for as long as you own the vehicle. If you move to another state, Gates will work with a collision repair center in your area.

  • Certified Technicians: Gates Collision Centers technicians are I-CAR certified and undergo continuous training year round. Our PDR partner only uses ARC-certified technicians to assure your vehicle’s proper restoration. To save time, tent repairers may use invasive techniques (drilling holes or breaking panels) which can compromise your vehicle’s integrity.

  • Full Service: We can repair your hail damage along with any other damage (glass, larger body work or paint work) your vehicle may have–all in one place.
